I cannot read the full post-marked date on this one, but it does say Dec 31 and is stamped Curryville. It is addressed to:
Miss M. R. Loonam
4509 Washington Ave
St. Louis, MO
It reads: Hope you will be up soon.
Your friend,
J.K.B.
PS–I am excited to report that a family member (from Ireland!) has found my site and has given me some information about the card.
New Year’s Greetings – this card would have been addressed to Loverne Looman. The other one, As time Rolls By, was addressed to her sisiter Mary R Loonam. The sisters died in the 1950s. They were spinsters.
I have scanned the back of this card.

I too am a relative of the Loonam sisters. I was wondering if you could give my email address to the Irish relatives that you mentioned

Would you like to see Mary’s picture? If Yes where should I send it? Thank you for cherishing their postcards. This way will never be forgotten. Please if you saved the email from the relative in Ireland I would be very excited to speak to them. I must know them already!! I have been working on our family tree for 7 years. My mother is a Loonam, born in Ireland. Mary, Laverne also had a sister Jane and a sister Clara Belle…None of the sisters married. There Brother Peter Waldo Loonam, married but was divorced at the time of his death. My I am their 1st cousin 2 x removed.
